York Knights fell to a 38 - 6 defeat to Hull KR in the Betfred Super League battle at Sewell Group Craven Park.
Despite an early lead for the Knights, the hosts scored seven unanswered tries. Tom Davies got a double, while Rhyse Martin landed five goals from seven attempts.
The Knights took the lead within the opening minutes. Following a short drop-out from Mikey Lewis, Jon Bennison gathered the ball and ran through the line to score under the posts, with Cody Hunter landing the conversion to make it 6-0.
A York knock-on resulted in a scrum where Hull KR moved the ball wide to send Tom Davies away from 30 meters out for an unconverted try.
Mikey Lewis followed up with a try in the corner and KR debutant Tevita Pangai Jr set up a play that allowed Burgess to score out wide.
Just before half-time, Hull KR got another converted try by Batchelor, giving them a 22 - 6 lead.
Three minutes after the restart, Davies secured his second try of the night with a finish in the corner and the Knights pushed to respond, but Galeano was tackled into touch just short of the try line.
Hull KR added further points as Tyrone May broke through the line to set up Broadbent for a try under the posts, before Rhyse Martin scored a late try of his own to complete the 38 - 6 scoring.
