York RLFC Foundation is pleased to announce a further three week extension to our regular weekly community sessions with Raiders Rugby League at Barlby High School!

Due to demand, York RLFC Foundation has been able to successfully secure a further three weeks of junior training sessions inside the school sports hall.

Over the course of the year, many primary aged school children have taken part in regular weekly community sessions with Raiders Rugby League and in a number of playing opportunities organised by the Foundation.

York RLFC Foundation Community Coach Mark Prangnell said:

“With the ever-decreasing amount of daylight we now have on an evening, we decided the best course of action to extend up to the October half term holidays was to move inside for the last three weeks.

“We have had a tremendous number of children taking part over the year and we welcome all our current regular players to the indoor sessions as well as any new players in school years 3-6 that would like to come down and have a try and see what it is all about.

“No experience is necessary to attend, and these sessions will be non-contact based.

“I would like to thank all those who have attended the weekly sessions so far this year and welcome you all to the remaining three indoor sessions.”
