York Valkyrie centre Bettie Lambert helped Ireland's Women's team to victory over Canada Ravens yesterday in Orrell.
Ireland, who aren't participating in the World Cup, defeated a Canada team who find themselves in the same Group as England - meaning Tara Jane Stanley, Grace Field, Hollie Dodd and Olivia Wood could follow Lambert in taking on the Ravens in the coming weeks.
Lining up in the centres, Lambert played her part in Ireland securing an 8-6 victory over the North American side.
