York Knights take a nine match winning run to Sheffield Eagles on Sunday, when they play at the Steel City Stadium in the Betfred Championship (3pm)!

The run, which includes the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final win at Wembley, has seen them climb up to second place in the table, following last weekend’s 30-8 win over Featherstone Rovers.

After losing their opening three league games, Mark Applegarth’s side have been beaten just once, in a tight game at Featherstone on Good Friday and they’re now just two points behind leaders, Toulouse Olympique.

In contrast, Sheffield Eagles have had a difficult season, and they’re tenth in the table after four victories.

Those victories have come over Featherstone Rovers, Batley Bulldogs, London Broncos and most recently Barrow Raiders. However, Craig Lingard’s side come into this game after defeats at home to Doncaster (12-26), and at Batley (14-24) last weekend.

It was a 48-8 victory for the Knights when they met at the LNER Community Stadium last month, including a hat-trick from former Eagle and Knights top scorer this season, Ben Jones-Bishop.

Since then, Sheffield have strengthened their squad, extended the loan deal of Jenson Windley from Castleford until the end of the season, and signing former Keighley Cougars winger, Billy Walkley on a two and a half year deal.

For the Knights, it could be the return to Ben Jones-Bishop and Mitch Clark to their former club for the first time since joining York earlier this season.

Standing tickets are priced at £19 for Adults, £13 for Concessions (65+, Students) and £6 for Juniors (Under 16s)
