Squad named for Barrow match

York City Knights Head Coach James Ford has named his preliminary squad for Sunday’s Betfred Championship Round Seventeen match against Barrow Raiders with half-back Liam Harris in line to make his 100th career appearance.

The half-back, the Knights’ top try-scorer so far in 2022, is currently in his third spell with the club and has impressed throughout this season so far. He is included along with fellow half-backs Brendan O’Hagan and Jamie Ellis, both of whom scored in last weekend’s victory against Whitehaven, to give James Ford options in the pivots.

Levi Edwards is also included after returning to the fold last weekend while Ronan Michael, the Huddersfield Giants loanee who missed out on the matchday squad despite being included in the preliminary group last weekend, could make his first appearance since mid-March. Danny Kirmond also returns to the squad after sitting out last weekend’s victory.

Sunday’s match has been allocated as the Knights’ Heritage Day with players set to wear a special kit for the match with past players from the club’s history to be in attendance for the special occasion. Tickets are available now from the York Stadium Management Company Ticket Office online HERE, priced at £20 for adults, £15 for concessions and FREE for under-16s.
