Squad named for Widnes trip

Head Coach James Ford has named his York City Knights squad for Sunday’s Betfred Championship Round Fifteen match against Widnes Vikings at the DCBL Stadium (3pm KO).

The Knights go into this weekend’s match off the back of two wins over Jubilee Weekend and sit in third place, three points clear of Batley Bulldogs one place further behind in the table.

Pauli Pauli returned to the fold against Sheffield Eagles and delivered dominant performance both in The Steel City and at home to London Broncos and the former NRL man is set to continue in the front row against the Vikings. Will Jubb, absent last time out against the Broncos, is likely to return to action as hooker while the likes of Jack Teanby and Masi Matongo, both rested on Sunday, could come back into the seventeen.

Ford noted to the media earlier this week that, while currently absent, he is confident that each of Brendan O’Hagan, Ronan Michael and Levi Edwards should return to contention for the Knights’ Round Sixteen match at Whitehaven on Sunday 26th June.
