Tickets available for the return of the Betfred Women's Super League

After the long-awaited return to action of England Women last Friday night, the Betfred Women’s Super League comes back with a bang this weekend – with four matches including a mouthwatering Monday Night showdown between Castleford and St Helens.

And for the first time this year, general admission will be available for anyone who wants to experience the BWSL action live.

Attendance at all previous BWSL matches this season has been severely restricted because of Covid-19 protocols, but tickets will be available to buy on the day for the majority of matches from now on – including for the regular Monday night fixtures at Odsal, starting with the clash between Cas and Saints.

It’s fantastic value at a standard price of £5 for adults and free for Under-16s – in the hope that the growing numbers of girls now playing Rugby League on a regular basis will be able to watch their new heroes.

This weekend’s action includes a double header at the Mobile Rocket Stadium in Wakefield on Sunday, when Leeds Rhinos will take on Warrington Wolves at noon, before Trinity host Huddersfield Giants at 330pm.

Also on Sunday, Featherstone Rovers will host Wigan Warriors at the Millennium Stadium at 330pm. The match between York City Knights and Bradford Bulls which was also scheduled for Sunday has been awarded to York with a 24-0 scoreline as Bradford advised that because of a number of injury and selection issues they are unable to field a team.

The Cas v Saints game on Monday night (745pm kick-off) will involve up to 13 of the England squad, as the likes of Emily Rudge, Amy Hardcastle, Georgia Roche and Shona Hoyle, team-mates last week, now prepare to square off against each other.

For those who can’t make it to Odsal, the action will all be live on the RFL’s Twitch channel https://www.twitch.tv/rugbyleague
