York Valkyrie won their third consecutive match in the Betfred Women’s Super League, beating bottom of the table Warrington Wolves 70-0 at Victoria Park.
Five first half tries, including two from Emma Kershaw and all converted by Ellie Williamson, built an unassailable 30-0 half time lead.
A further seven second half tries, with six of those converted, saw the Valkyrie ease to a big win and back up to third in the table.
York opened the scoring after 13 minutes when Evie Sexton crossed, before Kershaw got the first of her brace.
Tamzin Renouf, playing in the halves, was next to get on the scoresheet, and with Kershaw’s second and one from Savannah Andrade just before the break, the Valkyrie were in control.
The second half started with two quick tries from the Valkyrie. First, T’Leesha Frederick-Maynard got her first try in the senior side, and the 40 point mark was reached when Williamson scored.
Renouf and Sexton got their second tries of the game before Izzy Bibby got two, before Tara Moxon completed the scoring with York’s twelfth try of the afternoon.
