York Valkyrie half back, Ellie Williamson has agreed a new deal to keep her at the club until the end of 2027, thanks to support from Squad Builder!

The 22-year old is going into her second season with York in the Betfred Women’s Super League, after a year where she made 18 appearances, scoring five tries and kicking 50 goals.

The Australian moved to York from the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs in the Harvey Norman Premiership, and she had previously been at St. George Illawarra Dragons, where she made one appearance in the NRLW in 2023.

With a strong running and kicking game, she was a regular for the Valkyrie in the halves last season, and featured in both the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup semi-final and the Betfred Women’s Super League play-off semi-final.

On remaining with the club, Williamson said: "As an Aussie settling into my second year here, York feels like home.

"We took big steps last season, and we’re ready to build on that and challenge for even more."
