York RLFC Foundation Annual Community Club Festival 2026

The York RLFC Foundation Community Club festival will take place on Saturday 1st August at York St John University Sports Park, Haxby Road, York and it's bigger than ever!

This year, the festival for Primary aged teams has entries from clubs not only from York and North Yorkshire but also from outside the County too!

The festival will take place on the 3G training pitches used by both the York Knights and York Valkyrie at York St John University Sports Park. There will be tag rugby games for age groups Under 7s and Under 8s with contact games for Under 9s and Under 10s.

It will all take place prior to the York Knights v St Helens clash in Round 21 of Betfred Super League later that day at the LNER Community Stadium, where all teams taking part in the festival will be invited to watch.

York RLFC Foundation Community Coach, Mark Prangnell said: “We have had an amazing number of entries for this year’s Primary aged Rugby Festival.

"Not only have we had entries from all three of the York based community clubs, Heworth, New Earswick All Blacks and York Acorn, but we've also have had entries from clubs both inside and outside of North Yorkshire too.

“I would like to thank all the clubs for entering and York St John University Sports Park for allowing us to use the facilities.

“I’m sure all the players taking part will enjoy the day and the experience of playing in the festival.”

The game kicks off at 5.30pm on Saturday 1st August.

Tickets are priced at £25 for Adults, £20 for Concessions (17 to 21-year-olds and over 65s), £5 for Juniors (12-16 year-olds) and FREE for Under 12s!
