York Knights return to Betfred Championship action this weekend when they host Doncaster RLFC at the LNER Community Stadium on Sunday (3pm)!

After a slow start to the season, the Knights are now on a three match winning run, beating Batley Bulldogs 23-10, Barrow Raiders 36-12 in the league, and then overcoming Widnes Vikings 39-6 last weekend to progress into the semi-finals of the 1895 Cup.

Their two league wins puts them in eighth place in the table, behind seventh place Doncaster only on points difference.

Doncaster’s points this year have come from a 38-10 win at Hunslet, and a good 10-6 win at home to Toulouse last time out.

It was one win a piece when the teams met last year, in what was Doncaster’s first season back in the Championship, following their promotion in 2023.

After losing 36-20 on the opening day of the season, York won the reverse fixture 27-0 in front of their home fans, with tries from Oli Field, Sam Cook and two for Joe Brown.

Again this year, Doncaster boast a squad with Super League experience, along with some familiar faces to York fans.

Former Hull player, Bureta Faraimo and ex-Huddersfield and Castleford forward, Suaia Matagi are among those that bring the top flight quality, while Knights’ fans will be familiar with Pauli Pauli, Ben Johnstone and Connor Robinson having previously worn York shirts.

Tickets are on sale NOW for Sunday’s double header as York Valkyrie face Featherstone Rovers (12pm) and York Knights take on Doncaster RLFC (3pm)!

Tickets are priced at ÂŁ22 for Adults, ÂŁ17 for Concessions (16 to 21-year-olds and over 65s) and FREE for Under 16s!
