York Knights return to the LNER Community Stadium on Sunday to take on London Broncos in the Betfred Championship (3pm)!
Itâs the Knightsâ penultimate home game of the regular season, and with just four games remaining, York are still top of the table.
The Knights are now on a 13 match winning run in the league, and 15 games in all, and go into this game on the back of a 56-0 win at bottom of the table Hunslet RLFC.
London Broncos have struggled this year, after their relegation at the end of last year from Super League, but theyâve shown real improvement in recent weeks.
After an eight match losing run, the Broncos have won four of their last seven, registering wins over Hunslet (72-6), Halifax Panthers (20-14), Sheffield Eagles (48-6) and Barrow (18-10). They sit in tenth place in the table, with 12 points.
They were beaten 24-18 at home to Toulouse Olympique last weekend, after leading for a lengthy period of the game.
When York met London at the Cherry Red Records Stadium in May, the Knights ran out 36-6 winners, with tries from Joe Brown, Scott Galeano, Jordan Thompson, Oli Field and Sam Cook, while Ben Jones-Bishop scored twice.
There is still Super League experience in the Broncos squad, with players such as Sadiq Adebiyi and Will Lovell catching the eye. Former Knight, Marcus Stock will be returning to the club he spent four seasons with, before joining the Broncos in 2023.
For the Knights, coach, Mark Applegarth reported no new injury concerns after the win at Hunslet.
Come and join us as York Knights face London Broncos in the Betfred Championship (3pm) and York Valkyrie take on Warrington Wolves in the Betfred Women's Super League (12pm) as part of a double header at the LNER Community Stadium!
