York RLFC Foundation is excited to announce the latest wave of upcoming Coach Education workshops as part of York RLFC's Club Support and Development Plan, in conjunction with the Rugby Football League.

Throughout the year, we organise a variety of coaching education workshops, with Head of Rugby Development, Andrew Henderson, overseeing the programme, to support player and club development. These include courses such as the RFL Level One and Level Two Coaching Courses, the RFL Referee Course, the Primary Rugby League Community Coaches Workshop, and the Primary Rugby League Teachers Course.

The Foundation offers several opportunities each year for new and existing coaches and volunteers to get involved with the sport. Our 2026 Coach Programme includes more opportunities than ever as we look to support the continued development within our region.

This programme of events will be delivered in a variety of formats, whether linked to sessions with the head coach, through the Excel programme or by organising RFL Coach Education workshops.

Alongside this, the Foundation also runs regular sessions for Primary and Secondary school teachers to support their knowledge and understanding around rugby league.

The Foundation also works with clubs to help their player recruitment through the work in schools and support local community clubs with various initiatives throughout a year

We are one of twenty Foundations working closely with the RFL to support the community game and its coaches.

Chris Spurr, RFL Coach Development Manager stated: “We set out through 2025 to formulate plans and build relationships that can provide coaches a better level of support through the community foundation network. We’ve seen some great work happening in community clubs. We aim to build a workforce of more and better coaches to help to deliver game wide growth. Having a network of Continued Professional Development opportunities with coaches sharing best practices develops a peer support network that can be guided by key development principles”

Dave Elliott, Head of Education, added: “Using foundations to support local coaches helps with a lot of connectivity within the sport too. We’re looking to see pathways opening up and more coaches having better experiences that they can cascade to the players they work with.”

The first Workshop, Focusing on Tackling, will take place on Monday, 9th February.

I really appreciate the initiative to organize training workshops for new coaches! This seems very important for nurturing talent in rugby. I'm curious, how do you think these workshops would adapt to different coaching styles or backgrounds?

From my experience with the game Earn to Die, I've found that understanding quick reflexes and making timely adjustments will take your car very far. Similarly, do you see a connection between adapting coaching methods and creating an inclusive environment, like in the gaming community? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

On https://q-link-wireless.pissedconsumer.com/review.html I switched to Q Link Wireless, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! The activation process was incredibly smooth, and I was up and running in no time. The call quality is crystal clear, and I rarely experience dropped calls, which is a huge plus for me. Their customer service has been responsive and helpful whenever I've had questions. Plus, the data speeds are impressive, allowing me to stream and browse without any frustrating lag. Overall, Q Link Wireless has exceeded my expectations, making it a fantastic choice for anyone looking for reliable and affordable telecommunications!
