York RLFC are delighted to be hosting the three Betfred Challenge Cup trophies ahead of next weekend's historic double header on Sunday 18th June at the LNER Community Stadium.
York will be showcasing the Betfred Men's, Women's and Wheelchair Challenge Cup trophies ahead of the Quarter-Final double header that will see York Valkyrie face Cardiff Demons (2pm) and York Knights meet Leigh Leopards (5pm) on Sunday 18th June.
Next weekend will see the first double header involving both Men's and Women's Betfred Challenge Cup Quarter-Finals at the same venue.
The city is also proud to be welcoming the reigning Wheelchair World champions England, who will take part in an opening training session at the University of York's Sports Centre on Sunday 18th June (12pm).
York RLFC's Wheelchair side will make their debut in the Betfred Wheelchair Challenge Cup later this year.
Ahead of the huge weekend, the Club will be taking the three trophies on a tour around the city.
The tour will embrace nine primary schools, three secondary schools, two Universities, three community clubs and a number of key partners.
The trophies will also be at the launch of the new block of the Excel Lions Boys Player Development Programme for Under-15s and Under-16s and the new primary school-aged girls programme, RugBees, both at the York St John University Sports Park.
The three Betfred Challenge Cup trophies will be at our three community clubs at the following times:
New Earswick All Blacks: Tuesday 13th June (5.30pm)
Heworth ARLFC: Tuesday 13th June (6.30pm)
York Acorn: Thursday 15th June (6pm)
