York Valkyrie face St.Helens at the LNER Community Stadium on Sunday 6th September in the penultimate round of the Betfred Women’s Super League Super 4s (12pm)!

After back to back wins, first at home to Leeds Rhinos and then in the reverse fixture against St.Helens last week, the Valkyrie need one more win to secure third place and with it, a semi-final spot in the play offs.

With only two points between York and St.Helens in the table, Saints know a win for them this weekend will also keep their play off ambitions alive, so there’s plenty to play for.

Last week’s 28-18 win at the BrewDog Stadium was the first time the Valkyrie had beaten St.Helens since the BWSL Grand Final in 2024. A hat-trick from Savannah Andrade helped York pick up a big win in their quest to finish in the top three.

After proving tough to beat on their home ground, the last time York got past St.Helens at the LNER Community Stadium was in 2024, with a 20-16 win in the league.

Earlier this year, the league points went the way of St.Helens, with a 14-18 victory at the LNER Community Stadium.

A win for York this week would be the first time this season they’ve strung three consecutive wins together, while for St.Helens, it would be their first win since the league split for the Super 4s.

York are likely to be without Tamzin Renouf, who picked up a shoulder injury in last week’s victory.
