Henderson to lead Tackle Safe Workshop

York RLFC Foundation will be hosting an RFL Tackle Safe Workshop on Wednesday 7th February (6.30pm - 8pm) at the LNER Community Stadium, led by York Knights Head Coach Andrew Henderson.

The free-to-attend workshop is open to all rugby league coaches in York and North Yorkshire, with a focus on the technical and tactical tackle cycle ahead of the implementation of law changes to tackle height from the 2024 season in the community game.

York RLFC Foundation Delivery Manager Adam Prentis said: "The RFL's plans to make rugby league safer and more accessible include significant changes to be implemented at the community level, starting from 2024.

"As part of this initiative, several Foundations, including the York RLFC Foundation, have moved to organise Coach Education Workshops before the start of the new season.

"We urge all rugby league coaches in York and North Yorkshire join York Knights Head Coach Andrew Henderson to discuss how to adapt to these changes."

Full details will be provided to coaches ahead of the Tackle Safe Workshop who fill out the form linked below.
