Inman signs permanent deal with York!

Hooker, Tom Inman has joined York Knights on a two year deal, thanks to support from Squad Builder!

He was part of the 2026 squad, making 13 appearances on loan from Newcastle Thunder and scoring two tries, before a knee injury ended his season.

The 23-year old moved to Thunder after his previous club, Halifax Panthers went out of business earlier this year.

Now in his second spell with York, Inman first arrived at the LNER Community Stadium in 2022, initially on a short term loan from Warrington Wolves. He went on to sign a deal with the Knights and played nine games before moving to his home town club, Halifax at the end of that season.

He made a big impact in that first spell, and after 12 appearances for Newcastle this year, he became the starting hooker in 13 games for the Knights after making his debut at home to Catalans Dragons in May.

On becoming a Knight, Inman said: "I've loved my first year in Super League with York and I’m really excited to have signed for the next 2 years.

"I’m looking forward to the 2027 season and seeing what we can achieve."

Head coach, Mark Applegarth said: "I'm really glad Tom has taken his chance.

"He's a kid that I've watched from age 16 at Warrington and it's really good to see him transferring what we all knew he could do into Super League."
