Kershaw signs new deal!

Flying winger, Emma Kershaw has committed to York Valkyrie for a further two years, thanks to support from Squad Builder!

After joining the club in 2021 from Wakefield Trinity, Kershaw has cemented herself as a proven try scorer.

After stints in the back-row and at centre, Kershaw’s game has been transformed with a switch to the wing, and she earned a nomination for the Betfred Women’s Super League Young Player of the Year in 2023.

Kershaw was part of the Betfred Women’s Super League title winning squads in 2023 and 2024, and she scored 12 tries in 17 appearances in 2025.

At the end of the year, she was named in Yorkshire’s Origin squad for their matches against Lancashire, and she’s also been part of the England Knights Performance Pathways programme.

Kershaw said: "I'm buzzing to re-sign with the Valks for 2026!

"We've got unfinished business and I'm ready to work hard, develop my game and reach everything we know we're capable of."
