The Betfred Women's Super League season might have come to an end but for one of the Knights Ladies' players, the rugby keeps on coming.
York's very own Bettie Lambert has been named in Ireland's 19-player squad ahead of their international game with Wales on Sunday, October 17.
The team coached by John Whalley will face the Welsh away at Colwyn Bay in what will be their inaugural international test match.
In a space of six short months, the Irish women's rugby league team went from non-existence to playing their first ever game.
Lambert will be joined in the team by fellow Women's Super League stars such as Philippa Birchall (St. Helens), Francessca Copley (Featherstone Rovers), Paige Costello and Stacey Greenwood (both Wigan Warriors). #WeAreYork⚔️
