York Knights are delighted to announce that forward Harry Price has signed a new one-year deal with the Club for the 2024 season, thanks to the support of Squadbuilder!
Former York Acorn junior Price signed for his hometown club ahead of the 2023 season from Hull KR.
The front-rower went on to make his York debut against Toulouse Olympique in February while also featuring in victories over West Bowling and Swinton Lions in 2023.
Price will be hoping to continue his career progression with the Knights next year after signing a new one-year deal at York.
On penning a contract extension with the Knights, Price said: "I'm really happy to have signed a new one-year deal with the Club.
"It's been a really good first year, I've developed so much as a player, so I'm delighted to be staying for another season and I'm really looking to seeing where 2024 takes me.
"Last season have me a taster of what it's like to play at the level of the Betfred Championship.
"I had to put in a lot of work behind the scenes and a lot of hours with the coaching staff and players to get better and improve.
"To make my York debut last year was a really proud moment given that I grew up as a Knights fan and I'm hoping to make more appearances in 2024."
Head Coach Andrew Henderson added: “I’m really pleased to be able to keep Harry here at the York Knights for the 2024 season.
“Harry is still in the development phase of his career and last year made his professional debut and acquitted himself well during a handful of appearances.
“Harry has made a significant upward journey in his performance levels since first joining the Club and he knows that improvements are still needed in his game to reach the next level.
“But Harry is a great person to have in our environment, so we’re really pleased to have him here for another year.”
Price becomes the 16th confirmed squad member for the 2024 season alongside Jesse Dee, AJ Towse, Ata Hingano, Conor Fitzsimmons, Jordan Thompson, James Cunningham, Ronan Michael, Jack Teanby, Ukuma Ta'ai, Pauli Pauli, Levi Edwards, Oli Field, Will Dagger and Jimmy Keinhorst.
