Savill joins Valkyrie for 2027!
York Valkyrie have made their first new signing for 2027, thanks to support from Squad Builder!
Australian hooker, Chelsea Savill will wear amber and black next season, joining after a season with St.George Illawarra Dragons on a development deal.
The 21 year-old was previously with Wests Tigers, where she made nine NRLW appearances.
Savill was a junior at Western Suburbs Red Devils and progressed through the club’s pathways system with Illawarra. She was part of their winning Tarsha Gale Cup Grand Final team in 2024 and she also represented New South Wales in Under 19s State of Origin that same year.
Savill said: "I’m really looking forward to coming over and working hard with the team.
You can see how hard the girls work for each other, and that’s something I’m keen to be part of.
It’s a big step outside my comfort zone, but I’m ready for the challenge and to give everything I can to the team in 2027."
