York Knights will look to bounce back after defeat last time out when they face Dewsbury Rams in the Betfred Championship at the LNER Community Stadium on Sunday (3pm).
It’ll be the third time this season the two sides have met with both previous games taking place at the Flair Stadium.
They first met in February in the third round of the Betfred Challenge Cup, when the Knights ran out 14-8 winners to progress to round four.
The league game in June was the first in charge for Knights coach, Mark Applegarth and he saw his side run out 40-0 winners in what was their biggest win of the season at that point.
Ata Hingano and Joe Brown both scored twice that day, with further tries from Brad Ward, Jimmy Keinhorst, Jordan Thompson and Ukuma Ta’ai.
That was the first win in a run of five in eight games which has lifted the Knight to two points off the play off places, despite last week’s disappointing 38-18 defeat at Halifax Panthers.
Applegarth’s side will be keen to get back to winning ways after that game at The Shay and keep themselves amongst the pack chasing a place in the top six at the end of the season.
It will also be the last chance to see Knights centre Jimmy Keinhorst in action, after he announced he would be retiring from Rugby League at the end of the game.
Dewsbury have won only one game since being promoted to the Championship and they are rooted at the bottom of the table.
That was a 24-4 victory in the derby game against Batley Bulldogs on Good Friday.
Recent games have included defeats at home to Wakefield Trinity (42-16), away at Toulouse (58-6) and at Batley (29-22).
The Rams are coached by former Knights player/coach, Paul March and the squad includes faces familiar to the York fans with Ronan Dixon, Matt Garside and Perry Whiteley amongst those who have previously pulled on a Knights shirt.
York Knights return to the LNER Community Stadium to take on Dewsbury Rams in the Betfred Championship on Sunday (3pm)!
It's a double header with York Valkyrie v Huddersfield Giants in the Betfred Women's Super League (noon)!
