York Valkyrie extended their unbeaten streak in the Betfred Women's Super League after a 12-12 draw with reigning champions Leeds Rhinos at the LNER Community Stadium.
Sade Rihari and Rhiannion Marshall tries put York 12-4 up at half-time, with Lucy Murray registering Leeds' only points of the first 40 minutes.
But the Rhinos fought back in the second half to tie matters at 12-12, through Sophie Nuttall and Zoe Hornby scores, heading into the final quarter of an hour.
The Valkyrie had multiple drop-goal attempts as well as a penalty goal effort but could not capitalise, eventually having to settle for a point against last year's BWSL champions, extending their unbeaten run in the league to six matches.
York had got off to the perfect start, with Sade Rihari ghosting through the line after just two minutes, with Tara Jane Stanley adding the conversion.
Both sides were guilty of errors and after York lost the ball at the scrum, Murray capitalised for the Rhinos. Decisively, Ruby Enright missed the conversion, the full-back unable to convert any of Leeds' tries.
The hosts were back in front when interchange Marshall barged through from close range, surpassing 100 points for York.
Stanley added the extras to reach 100 goals for the Club.
Eloise Hayward was sin-binned late in the first-half for a high shot on Stanley but York were unable to take advantage early in the second half.
It was Leeds who broke the deadlock when Nuttall's inside step took her over in the right corner after 50 minutes.
The Rhinos levelled matters at 12-12 with a quarter of an hour to go, Hornby proving too strong at the line for the home defence.
York worked themselves back into the contest and could have claimed the two points through multiple late chances.
Stanley put wide a penalty goal attempt before missing a couple of drop goal efforts.
The Valkyrie created one final chance for Marshall, with Stanley off the field injured after a tip tackle by Keara Bennett, who was sin-binned, but the loose forward could not land the one-pointer.
