Jackson joins Knights for 2026!

York Knights have added prop, Ryan Jackson to their squad for 2026, thanks to support from Squad Builder!

The 21 year old Australian joins from Central Queensland Capras, where he made 14 appearances last year and scored three tries.

After previously making an impression at Wynnum Manly Seagulls in the Hastings Deering Colts and Auswide Bank Mal Meninga Cup competitions, he signed for NRL club Dolphins in 2023, where he was part of their development list.

A tall, strong running forward, Jackson has represented Queensland in their Under 18’s Emerging Origin squad and the Queensland Under 19s.

Coach, Mark Applegarth is looking forward to seeing him adapt to the English game.

"I'm really excited to see how he goes in England. He's obviously got a good pedigree coming through the Queensland age group ranks.

"He's a big body, loves doing the tough stuff, exactly what we need, and at 21 hes got the best years in front of him. I'm looking forward to seeing how he goes in the English game."

Jackson says he can't wait to get started at the club.

"With the club heading into Super League, it’s a chance to be a part of history and a part of something special.

"What I’m looking forward to the most is the mateship. Being far away from home and enjoying footy with good mates is something special."
