Join us for the Night of Knights!

York RLFC is offering you the chance to become a ‘Knight of the Realm’ to help build a legacy and a bright future for the club!


In partnership with Portakabin, we will build and launch our Centre of Excellence, a world class facility at the heart of the club, supporting York Knights and York Valkyrie. It also will provide a direct pathway for training and leadership to develop juniors as players and people.


This will in turn enable us to launch the York RLFC Academy, in partnership with York St.John University and York College, aiming to launch in 2028.


We plan to provide programmes for Under 16 boys and girls, elite rugby league coaching and player welfare and wellbeing, as well as working on leadership skills and community outreach.


To help achieve this, this is a call to arms for you to link up with us as ‘Knights of the Realm’ and build a legacy.


Becoming a Knight of the Realm will bring a number of benefits, starting with the Night of Knights on Friday 22nd May.


For one night only, guests will dine on the pitch at the LNER Community Stadium, under the stadium floodlights, in an atmosphere that blends sport, community and celebration.


With BBC presenter, Tanya Arnold as host, expect informal, open and honest panel conversations with some of England’s biggest sporting names, along with a charity auction and live band.


Knights of the Realm members will also collectively share the ownership of the racehorse, ‘Shambles’.


In conjunction with the Good Racing Co, you will receive unique member race day experiences, owners’ access to the Good Racing Co. stables and events. Any prize money generated will be donated to the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease.


Your name or business will be immortalised in stone at the entrance to the Centre of Excellence, on the Wall of Honour, designed to recognise all those who donated towards the construction and launch of the facility. Initially situated at the LNER Community Stadium, the wall will be unveiled at the opening ceremony of the Centre of Excellence.
