Support Sir Kev as 7 in 7 comes to York!

York RLFC Foundation is calling on people across York and North Yorkshire to come together to support Sir Kevin Sinfield as his final fundraising challenge for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) community passes comes to York on Monday 28 September!
As part of 7 in 7: The Grand Finale, Sir Kev and his team will complete an ultra-marathon every day for seven consecutive days, visiting all 12 Super League club grounds before finishing on the pitch at Old Trafford ahead of the Betfred Super League Grand Final on Saturday 3 October.
The York leg of the challenge will see Sir Kevin travel from Shiptonthorpe to Bishopthorpe Palace, taking in key landmarks including the University of York, York Minster, York Racecourse and the LNER Community Stadium, home of York Knights. The team is expected to arrive at the stadium at approximately 1.15pm, giving supporters the opportunity to show their appreciation for one of rugby league's greatest ambassadors.
Since launching his first challenge in 2020, Sir Kev and his team have raised more than £11 million to support people and families affected by MND. His incredible efforts, inspired by his friendship with former Leeds Rhinos teammate Rob Burrow, have captured the hearts of communities across the country and transformed awareness of the disease.
Schools, community groups, sports clubs and organisations across York and North Yorkshire are already planning their own way of cheering Sir Kev on, with young people, families and local residents set to line the route, create banners and show their support throughout the day.
